  • Thank You Luke Bucy!

The BHS Football Touchdown Club is proud to celebrate BHS Football Senior Luke Bucy. Luke wears #27 and has contributed to BHS football as a wide receiver and in the defensive backfield over the course of his career. Playing for BHS Football has been meaningful to Luke because it allows him to "forget about school, work, and other stressful things" and "let loose...and have fun." When he's not on the football field, Luke says he's "a simple guy" who likes to play video games, watch the latest on Tik Tok, and take a good nap. After graduating from BHS this coming spring, Luke looks forward to traveling around the country and perhaps seeing some other countries as well. As the end of his BHS Football career nears, Luke would like to thank his grandparents Peggy and Bret for their unwavering support, as well as his BHS Football teammates, his friends, and his brother. Congratulations Luke on your successful football career at BHS and thank you for all you've contributed to the BHS Football Program and the BHS community in general. We are proud of you and look forward to seeing what you do next in life. #GoPanthers

  • Fore!

The BHS Football Seniors kicked off Senior Week with a fun outing at Top Golf in Thornton. Balls were struck (some better than others), burgers and wings were eaten, and some good bonding was achieved as the boys prepare for their final ever week of high school football. #GoPanthers

  • Welcome to Senior Week

Welcome to BHS Football Senior Week, a week during which we will celebrate the accomplishments and future potential of 12 incredible young men who will play their last game for BHS Football this coming Friday. The grit, determination, and commitment of these 12 over the past four years in the face of a global pandemic, a horrific mass shooting, and an unprecedented wildfire - all layered over the trials and tribulations of high school life in the classroom and on the playing field - is remarkable. We thank them for finishing what they started, seeing a challenging season through, and for setting an incredible example for all who have watched them grow over the last four years. We wish them all the absolute best in their post-BHS adventures and remind them that the BHS Football Touchdown Club and the broader BHS and Boulder Community have their backs for life! Thank you https://www.instagram.com/kirstenboyerphotography/ for these fantastic photos!

  • BHS Football Week 8 Details

After giving everything they have against tough Fairview and Fossil Ridge squads, the boys of BHS Football get back after it this week against a formidable Poudre team. With three weeks to go in the season, here's hoping the boys finish strong and continue to improve their skills and execution and fight hard no matter how tough their opponents may be. Here are some details for Week 8. Varsity will play at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, October 14 at Poudre's French Field in Ft. Collins. It does not appear that tickets will be available on GoFan so you may want to get to the game a bit earlier to avoid a line at the stadium. The C Team will take on Poudre this Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Recht Field. Both teams will again be well-nourished this week at the traditional team dinner on Thursday. Continuing thanks to the various local restaurants that have stepped up to support these dinners and the great BHS Football families who have contributed time, food and treasure including The Seligman Family, The Keegan Family, The Gittes Family, The Sharpe Family, The Kinsel Family, The Vaillancourt Family, and many more. We will have a BHS Touchdown Club Tailgate beginning around 5:30 or so in the French Field parking lot. We'll have some beverages, some snacks, and hopefully a bit of catering from Snarfs to boot. The games will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of both games will be posted there for viewing in the future. Thank you in particular to Pact for continuing to make live-streaming and recording a reality. Thank you to everyone who attended Pantherfest last Saturday and/or who supported the event in other ways. It was a lot of fun and very successful. While an official final tally is still being calculated, it looks like the event will gross approximately $100,000 for the second consecutive year and net BHS Football and other athletic teams and programs approximately $70,000. BHS Football photographer/documentarian Kirsten Boyer continues to pile up incredible photos of the team and the season generally. Many can be seen on her Instagram Feed. Please contact her if you're interested in one or more of her photos. Her business deserves the community's support. There has been a solid amount of media coverage of BHS Football coverage this year, much of which is documented on the BHS Touchdown Club Facebook and Twitter Feeds. Here's a nice video summary of the Varsity game against Fairview from Channel 9 News with a lot of good footage of the team before, during and after the game. Finally, as everyone probably understands, Pantherfest, the Boulder Panther Club that puts on Pantherfest, and the BHS Football Touchdown Club which is a subsidiary of the Boulder Panther Club, are driven entirely by a relatively small group of parent and alumni leader-volunteers. As students graduate from BHS every year, this small group turns-over relatively rapidly and thus there is a constant need for new leader-volunteers. This is particularly true as the 2022-23 school year turns into the 2023-24 school year. So please, if you or anyone in your circles can step up as a leader-volunteer for 2023-24 in either the area of BHS Football specifically or BHS Athletics generally, please step forward and contact the Boulder Panther Club.

  • BHS Football Week 9 Details

After a tough Week 8 loss against Poudre, BHS Varsity Football heads back to Ft. Collins this week to play the solid Rocky Mountain Lobos. Regardless of the win-loss records, the boys and their coaches continue to hold their heads high and plan on fighting until the final whistle of their final game in search of a win so let's give them our full support. Here are some details for Week 9. The BHS Varsity Team will play at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, October 21 at French Field in Ft. Collins. Tickets for this game are available via the Ticket Spicket App and can be purchased in advance. The BHS Football C Team will take on Rocky Mountain this Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Recht Field. Both teams will again be well-nourished this week at the traditional team dinner on Thursday with a special dessert provided by the BHS Football Touchdown Club. We will have a BHS Touchdown Club Tailgate beginning around 5:00 or so in the French Field parking lot. We'll have some beverages, some snacks, and catering from our friends at Zodiac Subs. The games will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of both games will be posted there for viewing in the future. Thank you in particular to Pact for continuing to make live-streaming and recording a reality. Remember to contact Kirsten Boyer (check her Instagram Feed) if you're interested in one or more of her photos of this year's BHS Football action. She's been a fantastic partner to BHS Football this year. As another reminder, new volunteer leaders are needed for the Boulder Panther Club and the BHS Football Touchdown Club for 2023 and beyond in areas ranging from accounting to marketing to event planning and more. Please help us galvanize support from the BHS Football Community and beyond and stay tuned for organizational meeting opportunities after football ends. BHS Football Senior Week will begin this coming Saturday, October 22 with the team's seniors gathering for a night of bonding at Top Golf. Then, look for social media posts featuring each BHS Football senior player over the course of the week, the unveiling of gorgeous tribute banners saluting each senior at Recht Field, and more activities during the week culminating in an emotional ceremony prior to the final BHS Football Varsity home game on October 28th to salute the seniors for all they've given to BHS Football these past 4 years. All BHS Football players are invited to celebrate their season by participating in an outing to the CU vs. Arizona State football game which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 29. All players should meet up at BHS around 3:30 p.m. for a special pre-game meal and then after, they can walk together to Folsom Field for the game.

  • Ethan Kunkel: Grit Personified

BHS Varsity Football Co-Captain Ethan Kunkel has unfortunately been slowed all year by a significant leg injury. Despite this, he has bravely taken the field every week and given his absolute all on both sides of the ball as demonstrated in these highlights. Ethan is hoping to play football at the college level next year and here's hoping that the grit and determination he's shown this year will help him achieve his goal. Thank you for your efforts and your leadership Ethan!

  • BHS Football Players Give Back

Great job by the BHS Panther Varsity team using their night off from football to help https://therewithcare.org/ raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for families with sick children and other emergency medical needs. The boys represented themselves and BHS Football admirably. Families in need all around Boulder and beyond are feeling a little bit better because of all of you.

  • Week 6 Details

The Game is upon us: Boulder High School vs. Fairview. Nothing more needs to be said. Toss out win-loss records and everything else. Boulder bragging rights are on the line. The boys of BHS Football are ready to shock the world and bring football glory back to Downtown Boulder! Here are some details for Week 6. Varsity will play at 5:00 p.m. this Friday, September 30 at Recht Field. Get your tickets early using the GoFan App as the scene in and around the stadium will be crowded and a bit chaotic. And note that due to security and safety concerns there will be special entry and exit rules in place. The C Team will get their shot at Fairview this Saturday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview. Both teams will again be well-nourished this week at the traditional team dinner tonight. Huge thanks to the various local restaurants that have stepped up to support these dinners and the great BHS Football families who have contributed time, food and treasure including The Seligman Family, The Keegan Family, The Gittes Family, The Sharpe Family, The Kinsel Family, The Vaillancourt Family, and many more. Due to the early start time and the tricky parking logistics, the BHS Touchdown Club will eschew the typical tailgate party and instead host a meet-up on the patio at Centro at 950 Pearl Street starting at 3:30. We will head over to the stadium from there around 4:30. The games will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of both games will be posted there for viewing in the future. Thank you in particular to Pact for making live-streaming and recording a reality. Pantherfest is one week away on Saturday, October 8, from 5:00 to 10:00 at the Boulder JCC. This event is a critical fundraiser for BHS Football and all of BHS Athletics and all of our BHS Football coaches will be there. There will be great food and drink from Blackbelly, outstanding music by DJ Berry, and a fantastic wine pull featuring over 50 bottles of deliciousness, a diverse lot of auction items and experiences including exclusive Live Nation events, hotel stays, and sports memorabilia signed by Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Nikola Jokic, and more. After the completion of this week's games, we will officially be at the season's halfway point. It's been an eventful year so far for BHS Football with some triumphs, some tribulations, and everything in between. The Varsity game will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of the entire game will be posted there for viewing in the future.
