  • Week 10 BHS Football Details

Both the BHS Football Varsity and C Teams fought valiantly again last week but both fell short against Rocky Mountain. Whatever the case, we are proud of their consistent demonstration of character, commitment, and grit and are hoping that this final week of the football season brings victory for both teams against Fort Collins. Here are some details for Week 10. The BHS Varsity Team will play at 6:00 p.m. this Friday, October 27 at Recht Field. Tickets for this game are available via the Go Fan App and can be purchased in advance. The BHS Football C Team game will take place this Saturday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Collins. We are in the midst of BHS Football Senior Week and the 12 seniors have had a great week of celebration and bonding with events at Top Golf and IHOP. Posts honoring each senior player can be found in the BHS Touchdown Club website, on Facebook, and Twitter. On Friday, a banner honoring each BHS Football senior will go up on the fence surrounding the stadium and then finally, at 5:20 p.m. prior to the Varsity kickoff, there will be an on-field ceremony celebrating the seniors and their family support groups. Any senior family members or supporters who want to escort their senior football player across the field should report to the east endzone of Recht Field no later than 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Please get in the stands early to watch the ceremony and celebrate the BHS Football seniors! Both teams will again be well-nourished this week at the traditional team dinner on Thursday with a special dessert provided by the BHS Football Touchdown Club. Continuing thanks to the various local restaurants that have stepped up to support these dinners and the great BHS Football families who have contributed time, food and treasure including The Seligman Family, The Keegan Family, The Gittes Family, The Sharpe Family, The Kinsel Family, The Vaillancourt Family, and many more. We will have a BHS Touchdown Club Tailgate beginning around 4:30 or so in the BHS parking lot adjacent to the practice field. We'll have a special BBQ Pork meal courtesy of BHS Football parent Jason Lowery. Please bring complementary sides and other goodies to share as we close out the tailgate season in style. The games will again be live-streamed on the BHS Touchdown Club YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend and a recording of both games will be posted there for viewing in the future. Thank you in particular to Pact for continuing to make live-streaming and recording a reality all season. Please support Pact's generosity by checking out their website and shopping for some holiday gifts or other items. As a reminder, all BHS Football players are invited to celebrate their season together by participating in an outing to the CU vs. Arizona State football game which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 29 at Folsom Field. All players should meet up at BHS around 3:30 p.m. in the area where team meals take place for a special pre-game meal of Chipotle burritos, chips, drinks and Crumbl cookies. There, they will be assigned an electronic ticket and they can walk together as a group to Folsom Field for the game around 4:30 or so. As another reminder, new volunteer leaders are needed for the Boulder Panther Club and the BHS Football Touchdown Club for 2023 and beyond in areas ranging from accounting to marketing to event planning and more. Please help us galvanize support from the BHS Football Community and beyond and stay tuned for organizational meeting opportunities after football ends.
